Thanks so much, Eric. It can assure you that in using your beautiful boat as a model, I would certainly give you and your photo credit for the inspiration.

One heck of a nice job Eric. Wonderful colors and comp. I'm a painter in oils and watercolors and I would like your permission to make a painting, using your SHIPWRECK as the basis for it. If you would allow me to do it, the colors, weather, settings, etc., would all be changed so it is very clear there would be no infringement on your original work. I would like to invite you to see my work here in FAA, by making a search for Lynne Wright. You will be able to see what I do there. Thanks so much for your time and consideration. f/v

Eric Gendron replied:

Lynne, thank you! Yes you certainly have my permission to create a painting from this. I viewed your work and it is all amazing! I'm very excited to see what you do with this. -Eric

As a life-long resident, this gives a unique perspective on some of the more popular landmarks, and also some of those that can only be found off the beaten path. Studying mainly through trial-and-error, he subscribes to the philosophy that each day spent shooting in the field is an opportunity to discover something new about how we view the world. A common theme found throughout his work involves capturing the interplay of natural light with the environment. This often means shooting in the early...
