Artist's Description
A cool November evening at Nubble Lighthouse! As any photographer can tell you, it's pretty challenging to shoot this scene at sunrise as the sun rises directly behind the island and there is little natural light falling on the front side. So it takes some pretty unusual conditions, lots of filters, or heavy processing to get everything properly exposed.
The opposite is true at sunset, and even though the skies may be a bit less dramatic, there is an endless supply of warm golden light hitting the island. It's always fun to see what kind of interesting wave action can be added into the foreground to complete the picture!
About Eric Gendron
Eric is a fine art landscape photographer based in Lee, New Hampshire. Over the last decade he has been actively pursuing the art of photography throughout most of New England, but is especially drawn to locations in his home state of NH. As a life-long resident, this gives a unique perspective on some of the more popular landmarks, and also some of those that can only be found off the beaten path.
